Self-Portraiture

As a young artist, photography is how I first felt comfortable expressing myself. When I began the journey of self-discovery, I again used photography to blank the canvas—to strip away the noise, the masks, and the expectations that had built up over years of performance. Each frame became a way to unlearn what I’d been told about how I should appear, and to make space for who I actually am.

Through this process, self-portraiture became more than image-making; it became a form of healing.
